Pre-Conference Workshops
Pre-Conference Workshop 1: Reducing Food Loss and Waste: Cross-Regional Lessons for Research, Policy and Practice
This Workshop will synthesise lessons from major food loss and waste research projects and translate these lessons into priorities for future research, policy and investment.
Pre-Conference Workshop 2: Missing the Forest for the Yields: How Finance and Science Talk Past Each Other in Natural Capital Markets
This Workshop will facilitate a dialogue on an emerging line of evidence that Finance and Science sectors are talking past each other on topics of natural capital and in particular biodiversity, with the aim of introducing some perspectives that are heard less often by economists, namely that of lenders, funders, and participants in the capital markets.
Pre-Conference Workshop 3: Talking Past Each Other: Bridging Modelling and Foresight in Rural Transformation Research
This workshop brings together two research communities studying rural transformation that rarely speak to each other: quantitative modellers tracing structural change through data and simulation, and foresight practitioners working with scenarios under deep uncertainty.
